Barely four days to the Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Uche Okafor, Monday, urged the people in the State to come out en masse and vote for All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, as pay back to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for the good work he said the Governor has been doing in the State.
Making the urge in Awka, State capital, the Speaker reminded the people that the Governor is doing most roads and had employed 5,000 teachers of which the people of his Ayamelu local Government Area, were among the beneficiaries.
“I appeL to you people to reciprocate the good work of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, especially on roads with your votes. Don’t be divided by sentiments.
“People of Ayamelu should remember their pledge to support Soludo by reciprocating for giving them teaching appointment. So come out and vote en masse for APGA candidates on 11 March, 2023,” he pleaded.
Also the Commissioners for Women and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify Obinabo and Hon. Patrick Agha Mba,Youths Development, urged the people to vote APGA to enable the State move forward.
In a swift reaction, the State chairman of Labour Party, LP, Hon. Ugochukwu Emmanuel, stated at Marble Arch hotel, Awka, during a meeting with members to strategize on how to maintain the tempo on the party’s victory come Saturday, said that LP was unstoppable.
“Labour Party will maintain the tempo to dominate in the State House of Assembly. It is going to be another Tsunami on Saturday,” he affirmed.
Also reacting, the LP Director General, on Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, in the State, Chief Joe Martins Uzodike, hinted that the domination of LP in the State House of Assembly, would be big checks and balances on Governor Soludo’s administration.
He added that the LP victory on Saturday would show that what transpired in the Presidential and National Assembly elections was not a fluke.
