An All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, candidate for Idemili South constituency, Anambra State House of Assembly, Ebuka Igwe, said Monday, that people would vote across party line in the coming general election even as he added that no amount of insecurity would stop the conduct of the election.

Fielding questions from newsmen in his country home, Alor, the APGA House of Assembly hopeful reiterated that the election would be different from what was obtainable in the previous elections pointing out that voting will be based on individual differences.

” This election will be quit different from others because people are going to vote across party line. You will find out that on the day of the election somebody will vote PDP, APC, LP, among others, depending on the individual difference.

“We are not clinching on the party because the party is like a vehicle that will convey us from where we are going to. Again I don’t think there will be any amount of insecurity that will stop the conduct of the election.

“There was insecurity in 2021 but there was election that brought Governor Soludo to power . Election must hold and people must come out and vote and their votes must count. Anybody clamouring for insecurity is also a Nigerian and all of us will suffer it but surely the election must hold and Nigerians will decide,” he reiterated.

The APGA candidate, a legal practitioner, explained further that he knows the terrain and as a lawyer he would ensure quality laws and provision of dividends of democracy to his constituents if elected.

“I know as a youth,’I will do much better than previous ones, it is high time to change priorities.I am familiar with law making, every other thing is an oversight, I can assure people that I am going to push positive bills, bills that are  meant for people to ensure that people of my constituency are well represented.

“One of the five points agenda I have is to make sure that people in my constituency are included in everything, have a very long way in shaping the terrain. The Governor has introduced one youth two skills, that every youth will show for and it is a compulsory programme, so in the next four years, he will be able to empower as more youths as possible.

“For the other political parties in the race, Idemili South will decide their fate but I tell you, from the support I am getting from the grassroot, people must actually vote and the votes must be counted and I believe that what I see in Idemili South, they will vote APGA.

On his achievements he said that, “I have offered services to the people both criminal and civil litigations, I am still doing that, I serve under ex- Governor Willie Obiano,. My people knew what i did during that course, not what you did but the road you paved for people to get dividends of democracy, for that, I will not blow my trumpet, you can move around and ask people about my candidature, they are in position to tell you,” explained.
