Indigenous People of Biafra ,(IPOB), Tuesday, condemned the attach at the house of Ikenga Ugochinyere’s country home at Akokwa, Imo State.

Condemning the attack through its spokesman, Emma Powerfu, IPOB accused Nigeria Government, Hope Uzodinma, and Nigeria security agencies of having carried out the Saturday 14th of January terrorist attack on the country home of the Ikenga, where his uncle and others were killed, and cars and houses set ablaze.

“The failed assassination attempt on Ikenga’s life is because of his solidarity with IPOB and his condemnation of the reckless action of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s illegal abduction of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

“Ikenga was the only Igbo man who consistently condemned the illegal abduction of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria and continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody while court of competent jurisdiction discharged and acquitted him since October 13th 2022,” he stated.

According to the spokesman, the lawmaker also recently demanded that the Federal Government  should release kanu unconditionally as ordered by the Nigeria Appeal court, Abuja.

He further accused the DSS Director in Imo State, the Army Commander of Obinze-Owerri barracks and Hope Uzodinma’s political aide, Chinasa Nwaneri, of masterminding the attack on Ugochinyere, for calling for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

He hinted that Hope Uzodinma killed elder Amaechi Mbazuruike and Professor George Obiozor because they called for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release through chemical spraying.

“They are terrorising Igbo leaders to stop them from talking about the demand for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi kanu, as the court has ordered them to do. But their intimidation will never deter us.The heads of the above named Security Agencies must be held responsible for this heinous crime committed against this young man.

“Again, Hope Uzodinma and his political contractors like Chinasa Nwaneri must also be held responsible for this terrorist attack and unabated insecurity ravaging Imo State. And IPOB must face him and his family because we cannot afford to allow him murder us because the vampire ruling Imo State sent him. Even if the Nigeria security agencies spear him IPOB will never spear him for doing this evil to our people, the killer must be prepared to be killed,” he vowed.

“That is why we have requested Imo State Indigenes to plead with Rochas Okorocha, Ifeanyi Ararume, and Emeka Ihedioha to stop bringing in criminals in South East, Fulani dominated Nigeria security agencies using the opportunity to make Imo state ungovernable. Doing so, they are giving the Imo State vampire, Hope Uzodimma, the opportunity to continue using terrorists in the Nigeria security agencies to destroy Imo State.

“The terrorist attack on Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere’s compound, which the media is reporting as gunmen attack is an indication that the Nigeria government and her security agencies including Imo State Government are the unknown gunmen terrorising our people in the East and every soul must be prepared to fight these criminals in the government. But the criminals they created to demonize and blackmail IPOB and ESN have turned against them. We pity  Chinasa Nwaneri because he allowed himself to be used by the vampire ruling Imo State and he does not know that his illegal tenure will finish,” he stated.

Similarly, the Coalition for Good Governance (CGG) has condemned  the killing and destruction at the home of Mr Ikenga Ugochinyere,  Spokesperson for Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) in Umukegwu Akokwa, Imo.

Mr Okey Chikwendu, National Chairman, CGG, condmned the act in a statement  in Abuja on Tuesday.

He said the incidence occured on Jan 14., when unknown gunment   invaded Ugochinyere’s home in broad daylight.

He said the incidence allegedly left three  persons dead,  including  Ugochinyere’s  uncle and  numerous vehicles were burnt  beyond recognition.

According to him, we wish to make clear without equivocation that the attack on Ugochinyere is an attack on democracy and civil liberties.

“We urge the Federal Government, the Nigerian Police, security operatives to swing into action to unravel the invaders and killers of Mr Den,  Ugochinyere’s uncle  and bring them to Justice.

“At a time like this and as Nigerians prepare for the 2023 polls, any attempt to snuff out any life and destroy property of political opponents will be tantamount   to creating anarchy in the society,” he said.

He described the killings as unacceptable to Nigerians, while calling for immediate action to find the murderers and perpetrators of the dastardly act.(NAN) http://www.nannews.ng/
