SDP presidential candidate Adewole, lashes govt.,says Nigerians are cashless as policy is senseless

The presidential candidate of Social Democratic Party, SDP, in 2023 election, Prince Adewole Ebenezer said Nigerians are currently cashless because the government policies is  senseless making life expectancy very low.

Ebenezer also posits that government has lost threshold as they are only collecting 7% lower than what it is supposed to be collecting as revenue drive, “that is why there is more money in politics than governance.”

SDP presidential candidate raised the alarm Thursday, during a parley at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, Jos South Local Government Area.

He said if emerged as president come 25th February, 2023, ” what I would is to focus on revenue which I challenged every one to come argued with me, that we are only collecting about 7% of revenue that are due for government.

“The procurement policy in the present government is very poor. Were misdirecting our spendings on things that are not beneficial to the people. And because the procurement is over flicking that is why there conflict with our national development plan. We will eliminate deficit finance!”

The SDP standard bearer also announced plan to create a million job opportunities for Nigerians by diversifying the economy through the use of modern technology.

“This is the time for Nigerians to form a government by critically listening to the issues and vote wisely the leader that would salvage the country from present predicament devoid of religious or ethnic sentiments”, he stated.

The director general of NIPSS, Prof. Ayo Omotayo have acknowledged that the institute has followed the Chatham House attribution, and aside from that, it is one of the core mandate of the institute to always engaging political parties and their candidates most especially now that the country is heading to election.

According to the DG, ” instead of going to Chatham house the  candidates should come to NIPSS and shared their blue print with Nigerians because the elections is holding in Nigeria not abroad.

“I want want to ensure the institute achieved more visibility under my leadership. So, Nigerians, most especially the policy makers should fell free and come to NIPSS as it not a place for punishment, rather shed discipline to fine lasting solutions to the problems of Nigeria and make it a better society.”
