Umahi backs FG on new naira redesign .Urges citizens to exercise patience with the policy

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State,  has thrown his weight behind the Federal Government New Naira Redesign policy, insisting that President Muhammadu Buhari meant well for the country.

Umahi made the assertion in Ugbodo the Headquarters of Ebonyi Local Government Area, while flagging the All Progressive Congress [APC] campaign rally in the area.

He said that the Progressive Governor’s informed President Buhari of the problems the citizens were facing during their meeting with him.

‘We will support President Buhari in the Naira Redesign, he has reassured the country that he will look into the challenges currently faced by Nigerians and promised to address them

‘Ebonyi State is totally APC State, we are not stopping the rallies of opposition parties, they must obey the law of the land’

‘President Buhari has worked so hard for this country. we will support Mr President with the New Naira Refesign

‘Earlier in a speech, the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress /APC in Ebonyi State Hon Francis Nwifuru, said that his administration if elected, will construct a State owned Cement Factory in the area.

‘For me as the APC Governorship Candidate, Ebonyi Local Government has a lot of mineral deposits , we will build a factory that would provide employment for the teeming youths’

‘We will do more in Human Capital Development, the party will appreciate Ebonyi Local Government because of this massive mobilization and support to us’

Addressing party supporters/faithfuls on the occasion, the State Chairman of APC Chief  Stanley Emegha, blamed opposition parties for the destruction of APC Billboards and posters in the State.

Chief Emegha called on the people to vote for candidates of the All Progressive Candidates in the election.

Various Speakera at the event including the Director General of APC Campaign Council Deacon Austin Umahi,  urged the electorate in the Council to vote massively for all APC candidates contesting various elective positions in the forthcoming election.

In attendance during the rally included the State deputy Governor Kelechi Igwe, APC Candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly.

Others include members of the APC Campaign Council, traditional rulers, support groups, party faithfuls, women groups and youth organizations among others.
