Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, the founder/leader of Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Monday, spited fire, and urged Igbo doing their legitimate businesses in lagos State, and any other places in the country not to fear, panic or feel intimidated by the lagos State Speaker’s threat to enact law that would only favour the Yorubas.

“MASSOB is ready to protect any Igbo doing legitimate businesses in Lagos and anywhere in Nigeria. Don’t be intimidated by the utterances of the Lagos Speaker who took oath to protect lives and properties of residents of the State,” he warned.

According to Uwazuruike, the law when operational would be meant to target Igbo who do their business of buying and selling in lagos state.

Uwazuruike who dropped the hint during his monthly meeting weekend, at Ojukwu Memorial Library, new Owerri, Imo State, said it was against the non-violence and non-exodus philosophy of his organization for any South Easterner to leave his place of residence in Nigeria on account of  fear of being attacked by the Yoruba of Southwest or Hausa/Fulani in the North.

Describing the lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa’s proposal, as anti -Igbo policy, in a statement signed by his director of Information and Senior Special Assistant to BIM/MASSOB on Media and Publicity, Mazi Chris Mocha, and made available to newsmen in Onitsha, Uwazuruike urged Igbo to remain in lagos and carry on with their legitimate businesses without fear of being molested or intimidated by anybody.
