Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader and foundee of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereighn state of Biafra, MASSOB, otherwise
called Biafra Independent Movement, BIM, said its interest now was actualization of a sovereign state of Biafra and not producing Igbo presidency come 2023.

Reacting to speculations making the round that BIM-MASSOB (now Biafra Internal Govt) is interested in producing the next president who would be an Igbo, Uwazuruike warned, “for the record, we wish to state as follows; ‘that Biafra is already an  existing state like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Daila -lama and others”,

“I appeals to the general public to disregard Uchenna Madu’s statement who carried the rumour that we are in support of Igboman emerging the
next president of Nigeria”,

“The formation of Biafra Internal Government by Chief Ralph Uwazuruike is a prelude to achieving Biafra sovereignty. Sovereignty means; a complete power of a country to govern itself, It’s only the likes of Uchenna Madu and other dishonourable
politicians that are talking about Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction because of their selfish interests”

“It was for the recognition of Biafra as the 46th member-Nation of the Unrepresented Nations and people’s organization, UNPO on July 31st-August 2, 2020, that  Biafra will be participating in the
forthcoming Confederation of Independent Football Associations (Conifa) Africa tournament in the month of May”.

“Presently, the United Nations is  studying the report from Biafra Internal government’s  office regarding the atrocities committed against the people of Biafra by Nigeria from 1960 till the present time.

After it finishes looking into our report, in no distant period of time Biafra shall be granted her sovereign status by the United  Nations”,

“Whereas Uchenna Madu has no structure and followers, we also challenge the self acclaimed leader of MASSOB to fix one Biafra  event or  anniversary celebration where his members will show themselves in public”.

In a statement signed by Elder Chris Mocha, Senior Special Assistant to President of Biafra Internal
Government on Media and Publicity, and made available to newsmen in Onitsha, Uwazuruike cautioned Uchenna Madu to be very mindful of
making public statement regarding the precarious
condition of NdIgbo in Nigeria.

Uwazuruike recalled that his erthwhile Director of Information , Uchenna Madu, was suspended and later expelled from MASSOB over his unruly  comments on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on 30, August 2014.
