The Presidency has said that President Bola Tinubu is hale and hearty and proceeding with his scheduled state visit to Turkiye according to plan.
The update was disclosed on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Mr Sunday Dare, on his verified X handle.
Dare said the President proceeded from the ceremonial reception to scheduled bilateral meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other senior officials.
“President Tinubu, after a stately welcome ceremony in Ankara, proceeded to scheduled bilateral meetings with the President of Türkiye and other senior government officials,” the Presidency said.
However, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has described the Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration as the most Christian friendly government since the creation Nigeria.
Akpabio stated this in his goodwill message at the reception rally to formally receive Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Jos Polo ground on Tuesday.
A statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, quoted Akpabio as saying, ” Let me place on record that the President Bola Tinubu- led administration is the most Christian-friendly administration since the creation of Nigeria. He has shown this through his actions and deeds. He treats both Christians and Muslims equally.”
Speaking further, Akpabio congratulated Governor Mutfwang for taking the people of the Plateau to the centre of Nigeria’s political gravity, saying,” Mr Governor, I congratulate you on this action of taking the people of Plateau to the centre of national politics. Let me assure you that insecurity will soon come to an end in the Plateau. We will support your government in all sectors inorder to better the lives of your people. We will not leave you alone.Today’s action has finally brought all the states in the North Central geo- political zone into the party. This is significant.
“Government will do everything within its powers to protect Nigerians no matter their religious inclination and belief. We will support President Tinubu through approval of funds inorder to shut down all IDP camps in the country
In his address, Governor Mutfwang thanked those who ensured today’s event came to being, particularly the efforts of Senator Akpabio.
” Today’s movement is a landmark. It is statement that the people on the Plateau have made and they are here in their thousands to publicly declare their support for the APC and to return President Tinubu back to office in 2027. We are beginning a journey that our forefathers had long expected that we be united for peace and development.

Meanwhile, The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja has also disowned the membership card allegedly issued to bandit leader, Mohammed Bello Turji and it advised Nigerians to disregard the claim that the party was registering bandits as its members.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Morka, the APC stated that it commenced thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and found out that the registration card was forged and was therefore fake.
The statement reads in full: “The attention of the All Progressives Congress has been drawn to a fake “APC membership slip” in circulation on social media falsely suggesting that a despicable and notorious terrorist, Mohammed Bello Turji, was registered as a member of our Party in the ongoing APC Electronic Registration and Validation exercise.
“The membership slip is a fabrication, fake and without any association or link, whatsoever, with our membership register and database.
“All digital parameters represented on the fake slip bear no connection to our Party’s membership register. For example, the slip purports to be registered in a nonexistent “Ward 13” of Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State which only has 10 Wards. All other information paraded on the fake slip are nonexistent and certainly not contained in our membership database.
“This vile fabrication is the handiwork of mischief makers out to hoodwink and confuse members of the public for their own sinister objectives.
“We urge all Party faithfuls and the general public to disregard the highly offensive document in its entirety.”
Zamfara State chapter of the APC was the first to quickly respond on the fake card stating that the party has pinpointed the source of the forgery to be a former member, who was denied reregistration due to character issues.
