Ansaldo Nucleare Secures Seat on IEF Industry Advisory Council
The International Energy Forum (IEF) on Thursday welcomed Ansaldo Nucleare to its Industry Advisory Council (IAC), further strengthening the Council’s expertise across the global energy sector and reinforcing dialogue on the technologies and investments needed to advance secure, affordable and sustainable energy systems.
The decision follows Ansaldo Nucleare’s participation in the Industry Advisory Council summer meeting held in Bucharest on 30 June, where Chief Executive Officer Eng. Daniela Gentile contributed to the discussion during the session “Electrons, Molecules, and Minerals: Trade-Offs to Keep Shared Goals within Reach.”
As one of Europe’s leading nuclear engineering companies, Ansaldo Nucleare brings decades of experience in nuclear technology development, plant engineering, life extension, decommissioning, advanced reactor systems, and international project delivery. Its participation broadens the Industry Advisory Council’s technical expertise as governments and industry seek pragmatic pathways to meet rising global energy demand while advancing energy security and decarbonisation objectives.
The IEF Industry Advisory Council serves as a unique platform bringing together senior leaders from across the energy value chain to provide strategic industry perspectives that inform the Forum’s work and strengthen dialogue between energy-producing, consuming and transit countries.
The Council will play an active role in shaping the industry contribution to the 18th IEF Ministerial, to be held on 11 October 2026 in Riyadh, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and co-hosted by Italy and Nigeria.
Jassim Alshirawi, Secretary General of the IEF, said: “We are pleased to welcome Ansaldo Nucleare to the IEF Industry Advisory Council. As countries pursue diverse pathways to strengthen energy security while advancing climate goals, informed dialogue across all energy technologies has never been more important. Ansaldo Nucleare’s extensive engineering expertise and international experience will enrich the Council’s work and support the IEF’s mission to foster open, inclusive and evidence-based dialogue between governments and industry.”
Daniela Gentile, CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare, said: “We are honored to join the International Energy Forum’s Industry Advisory Council. The IEF provides a unique platform for constructive engagement between governments and industry at a time when global energy systems face unprecedented challenges and opportunities. We look forward to contributing our expertise in nuclear technologies and collaborating with fellow Council members to support secure, reliable and sustainable energy systems.”
