Coscharis Motors has unveiled the all-new Ford Territory mid-size sport utility vehicle into the Nigerian market.

Coscharis Motors, which holds the exclusive franchise for Ford vehicles in the country, introduced the new vehicle at its new Ford showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Deputy Group Managing Director, Coscharis Group, Mr Fred Amobi, said the unveiling has further lent credence to the leadership status of Coscharis within the Nigerian automobile ecosystem with the introduction of the All-new Ford Territory today.

According to him, the Ford Territory is a midsize SUV designed for tech-savvy automobile enthusiasts. He stated that “the vehicle is sure to satisfy the work and leisure needs of our customers and other stakeholders alike.”

He also disclosed plans to assemble the new vehicle locally at its state-of-the-art assembly plant in Awoyaya Lagos.

Amobi said, “As with all the brands and nameplates that we represent in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors has invested heavily in both human and material resources in order to ensure that all necessary support including workshop equipment, certified OEM-trained technicians and OEM-approved original parts and accessories required to keep the vehicle in top shape, for optimum performance at all times, are readily available.

“Our steadfastness in the regular introduction of new innovative products into the Nigerian automobile industry underpins the level of confidence we repose in the possibility of a revamped national economy.

“This is also evidenced in our huge investment in our automobile assembly plant located in Awoyaya, Lagos, where we currently assemble the Ford Ranger and other brands.

“With a sense of humility, I am excited to say that our product line-up is one of the strongest and most diverse in Nigeria, but with the introduction of the Ford Territory, it is clear that we will keep dominating the automobile sector of the market.

“We hope that the market’s huge acceptability of the Ford Territory, which is being introduced today, will motivate us to add the nameplate to the list of our locally assembled Ford vehicles in our stable. This will surely translate into opportunity for more job creation, manpower development and reduced product price amongst other things.”

The Executive Director, Sales and Strategy, Jonathan Maduka, said the vehicle was made specifically with Africa in mind given the experience and capability.

“This is a piece of technology in display. It can sit five people comfortably, it is a Ford you can afford to buy,” he said.

Mr Tony Archibong, who drives the new vehicle, said the fuel economy of the Ford Territory is incredible. “I have no regret buying it when I changed my car recently,” he added.

The all-new Ford Territory delivers a memorable experience for everyone on board with its impressive capabilities.
