Reacting to Buhari’s ministerial message , Comrade Bello Usman a member of civil society organizations, CSOs, based on the Plateau said that ” my take on President Muhammadu Buhari’s declaration that his administration has injected high-impact projects across Nigeria and they have met the yearnings of Nigeria”, is laughable and another display of lip-service.
“Well, even though he may be entitled to his opinion as President and number one citizen of this country, but for how long would they continue this jamboree call governance. To be honest and sincere to ourselves what high impact or meeting the yearnings of Nigerians is President Buhari talking about? Because I can’t figure out!
“Section 14 of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended is very clear which categorically stated that the security and welfare of the citizens should be the primary responsibility of Government. And remember that statement is sacrosanct and not optional.
“Taking into consideration the open declaration of President Buhari as regards to section 14 of our Constitution can he be sincere that it is achievable? I am not disputing the fact that there is presence of Federal Government projects across Nigeria but then, to what extent such projects can be beneficial to the people at the embers of insecurity, mismanagement, dishonesty and lack of accountability by our leaders.
“This Government instead of them to focus on governance but, rather, they bent on misleading Nigerians with all sorts of misinformation.
“Well, I am not surprised, and as far as I am concerned it is only President Buhari as his cabinet members who in a better position to know the kind of high-impact they have brought to Nigerians”.
