Ejiofor Tells FG To Avoid Selective Justice, Sanction Austria Based Igbo Hater

CHIGOZIE AMADI

Human Rights Activist and lawyer to the detained Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Ifeanyi Ejiofor has called for investigation and immediate sanctioning of Mr. Kingsley, an Austria based Nigerian who reportedly made inciting hate speeches against the Igbo in a viral video.

Ejiofor in a statement on Monday said the Federal Government of Nigeria’s seeming prevailing selective action has necessitated the call for the immediate investigation of Austria based Mr. Kingsley.

He stated that following the condemnable hate speech from Mr Kingsley in Austria and subsequent outburst by Amaka Patience Sunnberger in Canada, evidence abound that the Nigerian government had promptly and without entertaining any delay, expeditiously reached out to the Canadian authorities to investigate Amaka.

He said further information available on social media indicated that Amaka has been suspended from work while investigation is ongoing but expressed surprise that no similar action has been taken against go first instance.

“It is equally important that the Nigerian government takes swift action regarding Kingsley, whose vile call for the poisoning of Igbo children on August 29, 2024, has shocked and horrified many, which equally necessitated Amaka’s outburst.

“Therefore, I strongly urge the Nigerian government, especially Dr. Abike Dabiri to engage with the Austrian government to ensure that Kingsley is thoroughly investigated and sanctioned accordingly for his reprehensible actions. He will have no place to hide”

Ejiofor said no individual should be allowed to incite violence or spread hatred with impunity.

“By taking firm and decisive action, we can send a clear message that hate speech and incitement to violence will not be tolerated, regardless of where they originate, even as we await an unreserved public apology from some persons who are now gainfully rewarded with lucrative political appointment at the Federal level, unbeknownst to many that it is the seed of hate speech they sowed against Igbos that are germinating now. Unfortunately, the evil fruits are being harvested not only within our shores but across the globe”

He called for a continuous stand in unity against all forms of hatred and the need to work together to promote peace and harmony in the communities.
