Gov Kefas Lauds 6 Brigade, Police for Tackling Insecurity in Taraba

Taraba State governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has commended the Commander, 6 Brigade, Nigeria Army, Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa and commanders of other security agencies in the state for their giant strides in tackling insecurity in the state.
Speaking in Jalingo on Sunday during the official decoration of newly promoted officers of 6 Brigade, Kefas lauded Gen. Uwa and all the officers and soldiers of the brigade for their unrelenting efforts in curbing the activities of criminals in the state, particularly kidnappers, armed robbers and others criminals.
The governor, represented on the occasion by the State’s Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Prof. Nicholas Namessan, noted that efforts of the brigade commander has afforded farmers across the 16 local government areas of the state to return to their farms which they earlier abandoned due to insecurity.
According to him: “I must commend the Commander, 6 Brigade and Sector 3, Operation Whirl Stroke, Brig. Gen. Kingsley Uwa and his officers and soldiers as well as other security agencies in the state for their giant strides in tackling insecurity in our dear state.
“They have really succeeded in curbing the menace of kidnapping, armed robbery and other forms of criminality which has afforded farmers across the state to return to their farms which some of them abandoned more than 2 years ago.”
Commending the newly promoted officers, the governor stated that their promotion was a testament to their dedication to duty, hard work and diligence just as he enjoined them to continue to maintain high professional conduct in the discharge of their duties.
Decorating the officers, Captain Olubodunde Oni who is the Brigade’s Public Relations Officer and Captain Chinedu Nsiegbunam, Brig. Gen Uwa noted that the 2 officers earned their elevation due to their dedication and commitment to duty.
He urged the officers, whom he stressed have assisted him in achieving his mission and vision for the brigade to be wary of banana peels they’re likely to encounter as they progress in their career.
