…As Ifeanyi Ubah officially declares for APC, strategies for 2024 Anambra poll.
Anambra South business Mogul and lawmaker, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday visited the secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress and held extensive talks with the National Chairman of the APC, some National Working Committee (NWC) members and APC leaders in Anambra State on the way forward for the APC in the South east zone.
Ubah was led to the APC HQ by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state, who also doubles as the Chairman, Southeast Governor’s Forum.
The meeting between the parties, which lasted until the evening hours, allegedly centered on how to restructure the APC in Anambra state and the Southeast to make it stronger in all the wards and local governments. It also discussed how to prepare grounds in readiness for Ubah’s governorship ambition when fresh election holds in Anambra state next year, according to inside sources.
It was gathered that the senator has since become the indispensable pillar of the party in the state.
Addressing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje said: “Seeing is believing and from what we have seen here, it shows that APC is an active Party and doing well.
“The marginalization of the southeast has ended today because these are the timbers and high caliber politicians of the Southeast who have resolved with us to bring back the region into main stream national politics.
“We will win the next elections in Anambra state and move to also win the other southeast states.
On his part, Governor Hope Uzodimma said the APC plans to dominate the entire southeast region starting with the Anambra election.
He promised the APC national chairman that “the same magic which we used to win our elections. in Imo State will also be used to win in Anambra and other southeast states so that the APC can dominate the region.”
