Imo crisis: Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide assures that insecurity in South-East will soon disappear

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has assured citizens of the South-East geo-political zone of the country that the prevailing  insecurity in the zone will soon disappear.

 

In  a Statement  issued at the weekend by the Secretary General of the Organization Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro,  said that the crisis was all about 2023 and moves  by some Igbo detractors to destabilise o the zone.

 

“After high level meetings and assurances of critical stakeholders in Igbo land, we have gotten assurances that South-East Governors  will be encouraged by federal Authorities  to  suppress the increasing threats from Unknown Gunmen and Herdsmen “.

 

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide reiterated that youths were at the centre of these crisis stating that there will be Retraining Programmes and Amnesty Programmes for them.

 

The Statement urged the Federal authorities to  end all marginalization and provocative actions against South,-East emphasizing that there  will be Townhall meetings with the youths of the zone in May 2021.

 

“Igbos  will  stamp out these menace, immediately Southeast Governors settle with the Youths”

 

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide appealed to Governor Hope Uzodinma to return home immediately and make peace with the youths and settle all differences with Imolites
