The former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Jonah Jang has stated that no presidential candidate contesting election under the platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the history of the party in Plateau, calling on the electorates to votes all candidates under PDP in 2023.
Senator Jang said Lalong is the greatest mistake Plateau people made for electing him in 2015 to govern the State saying, “he lacks rudiment qualification for governance to lead Plateau, that is why Lalong is always absent in the state.”
The former governor who was speaking during PDP mega rally for Northern Senatorial zone, held Thursday at Langfield Resort, South LGA, urged party loyalists to vote Atiku Abubakar, Mutfwang and all National and State Assembly Candidates.
Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, governorship candidate of PDP in Plateau confirm that Northern zone is the stronghold of PDP admonishing party followers to maintain status quo of delivering block votes for the party.
Meanwhile,the state PDP chairman Hon. Chris Hassan have received over 21,524 decampees from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and other opposition parties cutting across the 6 Local Government Areas Jos North, Jos South, Jos East, Bassa, Riyom and Barkin Ladi respectively.
Our correspondent learned that amongst the personality who defected to PDP was the former Nigeria minister of information Salisu Nakande that lead other top ranking APC members to PDP.
Director General of Caleb Mutfwang/Josephine Piyo campaign organization, Chief Letep who confessed of being part of those that masterminded the emergence of APC on the Plateau described them as “monumental failures.”
Dabang who was the former APC in Plateau acknowledged that the party failed to fulfill their campaign promised, as such ” the broom is death awaiting for final burial come 25th February 2023.
Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial zone, Istifanus Gyang Esq said another point of making decision has come for Plateau people to do the needful.
“Let us restore the mandate to build Nigeria by voting Atiku Abubakar, Caleb Mutfwang and all the National and State Assembly Candidates under PDP.
Hon.Timithy Golu affirmed that all the governorship aspirants are solemnly in support of Mutfwang candidature as he won the PDP governorship ticket clean.
He assured that the party is a united family unlike other political parties who are still having litigation in court with less than one month few days to elections.
