The presidential flag Bearer  of  All Progressives Congress (APC) – Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu has declared that if elected president of Nigeria, his administration would invest heavily on the education sector

According to him, ” this huge  investment in the Nation’s Education Sector would help  tackle the perennial crisis  between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government.”

Speaking at a one day presidential campaign rally in Owerri Imo state capital Tuesday, Bola Tinubu noted   that proper funding of the nation’s tertiary institutions would  also  checkmate  further  disruption of the education callendar of the country

He however,  castigated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alleging that it took   the nation several years backward in growth and development through mal administration

Tinubu recalled what he described as ” the recent confessional statement of the national chairman of the party senator Iyorchia Ayu that the party indeed failed the nation while in power ”

According to him, ” this confessional statement the national chairman of the party is  enough reason for the electorate to reject the party at the polls.”

“As a president, I will maintain the incorruptible principles of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s  administration and I am not in the presidential race to seek the good things of life but to ensure efficient and prudent management of the nation’s resources and with me as president, the peace and unity of our country will remain intact while I will work with the various states to eliminate violence and man’s inhumanity to man”.he stressed

Describing the APC as the most dynamic, progressive and focused party in black Africa, the APC presidential contender added that while shackles of poverty, ignorance and falsehood will be adequately taken care off by his administration, honesty, integrity and dependability which are the hall marks of the Buhari administration would remain sacrosanct.

The Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and governor of Plateau state Simon Lalong represented by a former national chairman of the party Adams Oshimhole commended governor Hope Uzodinma for moving the state forward through the provision of massive rural and urban infrastructure and urged Imo electorate to vote for all candidates of the party.

Also speaking, the national chairman of the party Senator Abdullahi Adamu said that as a strong hold of the APC, the party was optimistic of winning the election in Imo.

He hailed governor Uzodinma for demonstrating courage leadership and charisma in governance, saying, “I am sure that you all have obtained your PVC which is your AK 47” to reject false prophets in sheep’s clothings at the polls.

Earlier in his remarks, governor Hope Uzodimma expressed gratitude to President Buhari for the reconstruction of the Owerri Orlu Road, Owerri/Umuahia Road, upgrading of the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education to a Federal University of Education, as well as the Federal Medical Centre Owerri to a Federal University Teaching Hospital in addition to the establishment of a Naval Base in Oguta.

“We will show you love both in spirit and in action and you will have nothing to worry, Imo is APC and APC is Imo and we are happy that you have been able to manage insecurity in Imo and in the Southeast”

President Buhari in his address commended the people of the state for coming out en-mass to receive the Presidential Campaign Team and expressed optimism that the party’s candidate would win the election.
