Following the ongoing crisis between the National leadership of the Nigerian labour congress (NLC), the state Governor, Hope Uzodimma approved the immediate removal of Chief Ford Ozumba, the State Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, from office.
According to official statement on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, the Governor directed that, ” Chief Ozumba hands over to the Permanent Secretary of his Ministry with immediate effect.”
It could be recalled that the National leadership of the Nigerian labour congress (NLC) has in recent times being in disagreement with Imo state Government
This had led to the division in the state branch of the congress
However, a leader of one of the factions of the congress in the state, George could not respond to call for his comment on the issue
