The non-Yoruba speaking residents in Amuwo-Odofin have affirmed their support for the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the State, Dr. Olajide Adediran aka Jandor.

Adeniran was received on Thursday at the palace of Eze Ndigbo of Ori Ade LCDA in Amuwo Odofin by an excited crowd,  where he promised to protect the business interest of the people and serve with empathy.

He said, “I will protect your business interest if elected I am elected into office in 2023. Time has come for you to realise your dreams. It is when one understands the contributions of people like you that he will not oppress you.

“You have someone before you that will treat you very well as Governor. We have been having a government that does not see you as one of them. If you see Lagos as a business and you run it like this, how will it turn out to be.

“With me and Funke Akindele, you will have a Government that will come with empathy and do what will boost your economy.

“We will birth a state that will be wealthy in truth and not rich on paper. That was why we said we will visit all the wards in the state and not a government that you just see on paper.” .

HRH, Chief Emmanuel Akalika, in response, said the country has suffered in the hands of the few who embezzle funds and acknowledged that a new Nigeria must be born.
“God knows that Nigerians have suffered because of embezzlement and people who get into office and forget the masses.”

“There are so many agitations in the country such as BIAFRA because of the situation of things in the country.

“I have heard about Jandor for a long time, but I have not seen you before. It’s good we pick the best this time around.

“Mr. Jimi Agbaje was here in 2015, but we don’t know what happened later. I pray that no evil will happen to you and God will continue to protect you.

“We need a new Nigeria that everybody would be proud of. I have nine children, some of them are graduates, but I still feed them because of unemployment in the country,” he said.
