All is set for the global oil and gas industry leaders, including academics, innovators, and technology providers to gather in Rivers State to explore ways to boost crude oil and gas production, and enhance sustainability, energy security, and resilience of energy infrastructure and the environment.

Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt, the Group Managing Director of Solewant Group, Sir Solomon Ewanehi,  said the summit would spark discussions that would lead to improvements in the energy sector in the areas of growth and efficiency across the energy sector, particularly in Africa.

Ewanehi spoke during a  briefing heralding the Solewant Group’s 8th Energy Summit to be held at Solewant Industrial Area, Alode Eleme, Onne, Rivers State, with the theme: “Pioneering Technology and Innovation for Transition to Sustainable Energy Development in Africa.”

Represented by the Executive Secretary of Training Institute, Port Harcourt, Dr. Benjamin Ubleble,  the Solewant Group’s CEO said the summit will also help drive technological innovation in Nigeria and Africa at large.

According to him, the summit is built around three key objectives: Driving technological innovation, strengthening policy and regulatory support, and fostering collaborative partnerships.

The summit, scheduled to be held on November 29, is expected to raise awareness of technological advancements and offer strategies that will boost production capacity, create insights into policy updates, and open opportunities for collaborative ventures.

Ewanehi said: “Our aim is to spark discussions that can lead to measurable improvements in our energy sector, exploring not only ways to boost oil production but also how to enhance the sustainability, security, and resilience of our energy infrastructure and the environment. This aligns with the government’s vision to establish Nigeria as a strong and reliable energy producer.”

According to him, this year’s summit aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision to establish Nigeria as a strong and reliable energy producer.

“With its focus on driving growth, sustainability, and partnerships, Nigeria is poised to take a significant step towards achieving its energy goals,” Ewanehi added.
