Schneider unveils power solutions for African small businesses

Schneider Electric is rolling out new products in West Africa aimed at easing high energy costs for small businesses, the French multinational said in a statement on Tuesday.
The new GoPact range, including a moulded case circuit breaker and a manual transfer switch, is now available in the region. The products are designed for everyday use in small shops, housing complexes and non-critical commercial buildings where cost and reliability matter more than advanced features.
Schneider said the GoPact line is suited for low- to medium-density commercial buildings, cluster housing, retail outlets, mini-sub applications and other non-critical industry installations.
“GoPact is crucial to the West African market because of the value it brings to our distribution channel and their customers. It is an affordable offering, which helps us compete with low-cost brands from India and China which have entered the marketplace quite aggressively,” Opeyemi Olaniyan, Offer Manager, Power Products at Schneider Electric West Africa, stated.
