Unknown gunmen had on the eve of Monday sit-at-home pasted warning notice at Onitsha Main post office, Ajasa street market and Nkwo triangle, Nnewi, Anambra State, vowing to behead any monarch, Presidents-General, PGs, vigilante groups, market leaders, taskforce, among others that attack any youth in Igbo land.

They warned further that any police man/military personnel seen carrying arms  (guns)  should face their wrath if they fail to heed the warning.

Part of the warning read thus, “that if any of these groups  mentioned above  ventures to pick , harass or sabotage  any youths of Anambra State or rest of Biafra land, such a person should without doubt be beheaded”.

“We want to reaffirm that no security agency of any kind should bear arms for any reason , if found with any, should face our battle, to be warned is to be fore armed”

A resident of Old markek road who pleaded anonymity told this paper that, “this is what we saw this morning being Monday sit-at-home as we woke up”

“It was pasted late in the night or in the wee hours of today being Monday sit-at-home by suspected unknown gunmen.

This is why today’s sit-at-home is worse than the previous ones because of this notice pasted here and they did same at Ajasa street market, near Oseokwodu markek”

“My brother who lives at Nnewi told me same was pasted at Nkwo triangle and as such they all stayed indoors to avoid harassment by miscreants who under the guise of IPOB, extort and maim innocent people”

Recall that the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Echeng E. Echeng, had in a press conference said that, “there is nothing like unknown gunmen or sit-at-home”

“These people are not invisible, they are just putting fear into the residents . Formerly there was conspiracy of silence but now the conspiracy of silence has died as people now voluntarily give information and we are making progress”.

“Arrests are being made especially now that conspiracy of silence  has died. We are now getting them and in no distant time you will hear from us”.

Meanwhile business activities as usual, were paralysed  as roads, markets, schools, banks, courts, among others were shut . END
