Soludo sacks ASMATA exco, constitutes new caretaker

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State, Thursday sacked Chief Ikechukwu Ekwegbalu -led caretaker committee of Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders’ Association, ASMATA, and constituted a new one led by Chief Humphrey Anuna, as its President General, PG.

Other members of the new executive included, Mr. Obinna Okechukwu-1st Vice PG, Chukwudi Nwakwor-2nd vice PG, Mr. Macaulay Ekwe-secretary, Hon. Charles Okoye-Assistant secretary,

Mathew Onyechi-financial secretary and Emeka Unaegbu-Public Relations Officer, PRO,

Others were, Henry Akpotue-treasurer, Nze Cosmas Okpalaunegbu-welfare, Calistus Okeke-provost, Francis Ogini-provost 2, Pastor Chibuzor Richard-member, Kingsley Odumegwu-member, John Madukolu-member,

Chukwudi Maduka-member, and Eric Uwaoma-Onitsha zone.

Also appointed included, Chief Emmanuel Obiagwu-Idemili zone,

Mrs. Promise Ezeigwe-Awka zone,

Peter Nwankwo-Oyi zone, Leonard Onwuatuegwu-Nnewi zone, Ezeigwe Chidozie-Aguata zone, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka-patron, Chief Jude Nwankwo-patron, and Chief Jude Agumadu-patron.

In a letter, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, and made available to newsmen, the appointment has put to rest, accusations and counter accusations between the sacked PG and traders in Onitsha.

Recall that Concerned Traders in Anambra State, led by Patrick Okeke, had repeatedly called for the sack of the PG, over alleged attack on the immediate past Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Obinna Ngonadi.
