2019 Offshore Technology Conference to address challenges in the energy sector

As industry experts all over the world  gather for the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston ,USA, Energy executives will explore how companies are preparing for the new world of digitalization, automation and machine learning, and will discuss their respective visions for the future of offshore exploration and production operations.

Also  the  Conference will  Celebrates  its 50th Anniversary  and provides Opportunity for energy industry experts to exchange  ideas and learn from 350 technical presentations

In a Statement made available to Daily Champion, OTC will be taking place  on 6–9 May at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, USA, the 2019 edition of OTC  will focus on “The Next 50 Years of Offshore Developments.

According to Wafik Beydoun, Chairman, OTC Board of Directors ” During the opening general session, industry executives will explore how companies are preparing for the brave new world of digitalization, automation and machine learning, and will discuss their respective visions for the future of offshore exploration and production operations.

‘’Offshore E&P experts and leaders from across the world have the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources during the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) — the 50th anniversary of one of the largest trade shows held annually in the United States.’’

As it has since 1969, OTC convenes professionals to make critical decisions,share ideas and develop business partnerships to meet global energy demands. In addition, OTC directly benefits the advancement of the energy sector by supporting the conference’s 13 nonprofit sponsoring organizations, and the Houston community.

OTC officials are expecting engineers, technicians, executives, operators, scientists, and managers from more than 100 countries and all fields in the offshore energy sector at this year’s conference. The exhibition space spans in excess of 500,000 square feet, and over 60,000 attendees and greater than 2,000 companies are expected to attend.

Additionally, there are more than 400 technical presentations scheduled, 23 topical breakfast and luncheons and 8 thought-provoking technical panels.

Embracing its international attendance, OTC will feature a new program called the “Around

 the World Series” where global leaders in the offshore sector will discuss new licensing and business opportunities, as well as recently introduced technologies. Attendees will hear the latest information from principals representing Australia, Norway, Mexico, France, United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Ghana and Guyana.

Additionally, as part of OTC’s continuous commitment to philanthropy, conference leaders have named Spindletop Charities as the beneficiary for OTC 2019. Since 1966, Spindletop has contributed more than USD 22 million to aid programs supporting at-risk youth, targeting child abuse prevention, pediatric medical research, drug and alcohol abuse prevention and rehabilitation, education and scholarships, school safety, therapeutic services, and after-school programs and family health.

“TheExecutive Advisory Board selected this year’s charity because of its commitment to finding nonprofits in our community that would directly benefit from the impact of a donation

 from OTC,” Beydoun said.

“We look forward to working closely with Spindletop Charities to choose which organizations will receive a percentage of the donation and seeing what work will be done and the impact made with those funds.”

The Golden Anniversary Gala Dinner will take place Sunday, 5 May 2019  at the Marriott Marquis Houston. The 2019 event recognizes distinguished industry achievements, raises funds for Spindletop Charities, and provides an excellent opportunity for industry leaders to network with colleagues from around the world. Carlos Mastrangelo  will be honored as the Distinguished Achievement Award Recipient for Individuals achievement, the ExxonMobil-operated Hebron Offshore Project will be recognized for institutional achievement, and David Baldwin will be given the Hoover Medal.
