9mobile, a Nigerian mobile communications company, has invested N70 billion in network modernisation.

Juergen Peschel, 9mobile’s CEO, said this during the company’s annual channel partners conference which was held recently in Lagos.

Peschel said the company aims to reclaim market share, with the addition of 600 new sites equipped with 4G LTE facilities, alongside new broadband services to enlarge its fibre network across Nigerian cities.

He added that the investments aim to demonstrate the company’s core values of innovation, quality of service, and customer-centricity.

“We are taking back lost territories in the market and forging ahead to reclaim our innovative position and industry leadership,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, Victor Nwaobia, the company’s chief sales officer, highlighted the impact of the unique relationship 9mobile has with its committed channel partners in driving the company’s growth over the years.

He added that the relationship has aided in driving the company’s growth over the years.

“That we have sustained or retained almost 75 percent of our channel partners over the years is a massive testament to your love and commitment for our business which is in its fifteenth year and going strong,” he said.
