Osun State Government has appealed to the general public to help in locating the parents of a day old baby rescued by a good citizen.
This is contained in a press release jointly signed by the Commissioner of Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, Chief Mrs Ayobola Awolowo and the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Abimbola Babatunde.
The rescued baby had been abandoned inside a carton around zone ‘B’ area, Dagbolu, Ikirun in Osun State.
The release stated that all efforts by the police and the social workers of the ministry to locate the childs parents were fruitless.
The government enjoined members of the public with relevant information about the rescued child to assist with a view to locating his parents
