The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in Plateau State, Hon. Samuel Abashe said his political party remains the only honest alternative that can save Plateau and Nigeria from the APC maladministration if given the opportunity to govern in 2023.

Abashe acknowledged that APGA manifesto is ideological based which center on policies and programmes that can address the basic needs of Nigerians.

He hinted this while speaking with reporters at the party’s Secretariat in Jos South LGA after his affirmation as a sole governorship flag bearer of APGA in Plateau State come 2023 general elections.

According to him, “the only thing actually now is for us to go out there and work, and if we worked hard I am expecting there is going to be a good result considering the situation we find ourselves in Plateau today, and I know people are out there looking for an alternative.

“APGA is the only alternative and not just an alternative but honest alternative and we are here to provide it for Nigerians….”

Abashe also stated that, calling APC and PDP strong parties is really a relative term to me. Is the individual not the packaging. Is just as the designers party that every body wants to go.

“But the one that performed is a good packaging because it is what is inside that all matters and this is what APGA has been waiting for in Plateau State, and that is me to provide the kind of governance we need,” Abashe noted.

The state chairman of APGA, Ibrahim Danjuma said What we did today is an affirmation. And the affirmation is done in line with the guide lines from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and this decision is taken with the number of delegates we have on the Plateau and we got their support for Hon. Abashe.

“As you can see, we the political party with the philosophy that can be admired by everybody and based on that we want to salvage Nigeria from the problem we found ourselves today.

“Our problems like insecurity, infrastructural decay and the rest of them. And what APGA is out to do is to make this country a habitable place for all of us.”
