The chairman of Federal Character Commission, Southeast zone and chairman, Anambra state, Hon. Rev. Uche U. Ibeabuchi, Sunday exonerated the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, from the killings and destructions being perpetrated in Anambra state and in Southeast as a whole.

He made the exoneration during a reception held in his honor by  the Aboji Akanano Oba community, Idemili South local Government Area for his appointment and achievements in his Oba community.

According to him, ” the killings and destruction in the Southeast are not being carried out by IPOB but evil men who praise devil for getting more souls to destroy”

He attributed the emergence of the evil men to lack of youth employment and urged the three tiers of government to do the  needful by creating employment opportunities for the youths to help keep them busy adding that, “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop”.

“If we can be able to give them work, the crime rate will be drastically reduced. Again if the government can call them for a round table dialogue, the criminal activities of these youths would also be reduced to the barest minimum”

He however thanked Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the manner he is tackling the situation stating that with time everything would come to an end.

The Commissioner of the Federal Character Commission, who has fixed some roads, dug boreholes and gave some unemployed  Federal employment, reiterated his resolve to better the welfare of the people of the state.

In his speech, the President General of Aboji Akanano community, Chief Dozie Nweke, expressed satisfaction with the appointment of one of their sons by President Mohammadu Buhari as a commissioner in the Federal Character Commission.

” We are happy with the appointment and he has used it to attract employment for some of our unemployed youths and he has also pledged to provide more dividends of democracy to us especially in the area of road rehabilitation.”

“We commend him for remembering his people and that is why we honored him with the title of ‘Ibobo’, meaning that when the lion roars there is fear everywhere”.

Also speaking, the former President General of the community, Chief Samuel Obianyo, said that, the honor done to the Commissioner should be emulated by other communities to spur their representatives to provide not only dividends of democracy but other non political benefits to the people.

“We are happy that our son was appointed in this position and we commend President Mohammadu Buhari for the appointment and need some more like Oliver Twist”

“He has pledged to fix some roads and provide employment to the teaming unemployed youths roaming the streets and we know he can do that and pray God to continue to guide and protect him”
