Prayer warriors of Ogbaru Relief (Main) market, near Onitsha, Anambra State, during the weekly prayer session of the market invoked curses against enemies of the newly appointed caretaker committee members of the market.

Praying especially for God’s protection on the head of the caretaker committee chairman, Chief David Obidike, they said that he has come to take the market to the next level.

In his sermon during the session, the leader of the prayer warriors, elder   while wardi g off all evils meant against the newly leadership reiterated that, “any physical or spiritual attack on the chairman, Chief David Obidike and his executive members would not succeed, it will be back to sender”

“As we pray on his head and on the head of his caretaker Committee members so shall it be in Jesus name, Amen”

Also praying for long life and protection of the new market leaders, a member of the prayer warriors  stated that, ” David Obidike has been destined to rule the market and anybody that is fighting him should wait for God’s wrath on him for opposing the person He ordered to go and better the condition of the traders in the market”

“This will be a curse’ that person is inflicting on to himself because once God has spoken it must be obeyed. Obidike has come for a total change in the market and so shall it be”

The prayer warriors commended the former chairman of the market, Chief Victor Nwawuzie Akirika, who they described as one of the best leaders since the inception of the market and prayed God to continue to protect him.

Chief Akirika who was present during the prayer session told newsmen that with the appointment of Chief Obidike  as the chairman of the market peace which has for long eruded the market, has been restored.

He urged the traders to give Obidike that massive support they gave to him (Akirika) when he was the chairman of the market recalling that, “God saw how Chief David Obidike and myself were rigged out in the recent flawed chairmanship election we contested for and asked Obidike to take over the market leadership”

“That is why I commend Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his hardworking Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Hon. Obinna Ngonadi, for restoring peace in Anambra markets by sacking leaders of 32 flawed markets”.

“This showed that the State Government was aware of how the immediate past leadership came on board. On the day of the flawed chairmanship election my APGA clothes I was wearing was torn to pieces and the worst was that Obidike and I were forced to stay until the end of the flawed election by thugs employed by the opposition”.

In his speech, Chief Obidike commended the prayer warriors of the market and urged them not to relent in invoking the presence of God to the market adding that he has come to protect the market and restore peace.

“It is from this market that we fend for our family and we need not to play with it. God has destined that it is my turn to lead the traders and I have to obey God and do what He wants. All of you traders should join us in the development and  progress of the market”

“As a first step, all confiscated goods by the previous administration should be returned to their owners immediately without any payment but let the traders who use their goods to block the road stop that for easy flow of traffic” he pleaded.
