Evos joins the International Energy Forum’s Industry Advisory Council
The International Energy Forum (IEF) has welcomed Evos to its Industry Advisory Council (IAC), further strengthening the Council’s representation across the evolving global energy landscape.
Evos is an independent European tank storage company with eight terminals in major seaport hubs in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Malta and Spain. Its infrastructure forms part of the supply chains that deliver liquid energy and chemical products to industry, transport and communities. Evos stores and handles conventional products while adapting its terminals for cleaner fuels, with non-fossil products now accounting for almost a third of its portfolio. Its participation in the IEF Industry Advisory Council reflects the increasing importance of reliable and flexible terminal infrastructure in energy security, sustainable fuels and an orderly energy transition.
The International Energy Forum is the world’s leading platform for inclusive, neutral, and data-driven energy dialogue. It convenes governments, industry leaders, and key stakeholders to foster informed exchange on energy security, market stability, and transition pathways. By bridging producer and consumer perspectives, sharing best practices, and advancing practical cooperation, IEF dialogue helps avoid zero-sum outcomes and supports more secure, resilient, and sustainable energy systems.
The IEF’s Industry Advisory Council provides a vital bridge between policymakers and industry leaders, advising the IEF Secretary General and Executive Board with real-world industry perspectives. The Council meets regularly to inform the IEF Program of Work, ensuring that ministerial dialogue is grounded in operational realities across the full energy value chain, including hydrocarbons, electricity, renewables, nuclear, low-carbon fuels, and emerging technologies.
Jassim Alshirawi, Secretary General of the IEF, said: “We are delighted to welcome Evos to the IEF Industry Advisory Council. As global energy demand grows and supply chains become more complex, operational expertise across the full energy value chain is essential to informed global dialogue. Evos brings deep expertise in liquid energy and chemicals storage infrastructure that complements our broader mandate to support secure, affordable, and inclusive energy transitions.”
Daan Vos, Chief Executive Officer of Evos, said: “Joining the IEF Industry Advisory Council reflects Evos’ established role in Europe’s energy storage market. Terminal infrastructure is central to energy security: it connects producers, industry and end users, and helps markets adjust as demand for lower-carbon fuels develops. We look forward to bringing our operational experience and tank storage market knowledge to the Council and contributing to practical dialogue between policymakers and industry.”
Through the Industry Advisory Council, Evos will contribute its perspective on tank storage market developments, including the role of terminal infrastructure in keeping supply chains reliable as energy demand rises and decarbonization gathers pace.
At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, investment constraints, and rapid technological change, the IEF’s inclusive platform, bringing together governments and industry across regions and fuels, provides a neutral space to build confidence, improve transparency, and enhance cooperation.
Evos’ participation reinforces the IEF’s commitment to ensuring that policymaking is informed by real-world operational experience and that dialogue reflects the full diversity of the modern energy system.
Evos is a leading independent European provider of storage infrastructure for liquid energy and chemicals. The company operates a network of eight tank terminals strategically located in seven major seaport hubs in five countries, with a combined storage capacity of 6.3 million cubic metres. Its terminals are located in the Netherlands (Amsterdam (2), Rotterdam and Terneuzen), Belgium (Ghent), Germany (Hamburg), Malta and Spain (Algeciras). Founded in 2019, Evos is owned by investment funds managed by Igneo Infrastructure Partners, a long-term oriented infrastructure asset manager. Evos employs approximately 700 people across its network.
