The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has expressed his readiness to position the country as a maritime nation through the completion of key projects within the ministry.

He made this known at an event held on Thursday in Lagos while charging heads of agencies under the ministry to work to realise their deliverables.

This was contained in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director, Press and Public Relations, Olujimi Oyetomi.

The cascading down of the performance bond to the ministry’s directors and heads of agencies was featured at a three-day event aimed at fostering collective commitment to the sector’s deliverables.

This culminated in the signing ceremony which was led by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency’s Director, Bashir Jamoh, and subsequently followed by other agency heads.

“The execution of the performance bond, and completion of key projects within the ministry, would no doubt position Nigeria as one of the maritime nations in the world,” the minister said.
