Heirs Energies Limited has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Osa Igiehon, will lead the company’s delegation to Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he will push for Africa to move “from energy deficiency to energy sufficiency.”

The global energy conference, scheduled for September 14–16, 2026 at BITEC, Bangkok, will bring together world leaders to address one of the sector’s most pressing issues: delivering secure, affordable and reliable energy to power the next era of global growth.

Igiehon is billed to speak at three key sessions that spotlight Africa’s role in the global energy transition.

At the Gastech 2026 Opening Ceremony on Monday, September 14 at 10:00 a.m. ICT, he will join senior government and industry leaders to set the agenda on energy security, investment, innovation and credible transition pathways.

On Tuesday, September 15 at 12:15 p.m. ICT, he will feature in “Power for All: Delivering Universal Energy Access in an Electrifying World” at the Electrification Theatre. The panel will examine how natural gas, renewables, storage, stronger grids and distributed systems can combine to provide dependable electricity at scale.

He will conclude on Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. ICT with “Rising Economies, Rising Demand: How the Next Industrial Age Gets Powered” at the Energy Impact Theatre. The session will focus on converting rising demand into bankable infrastructure to accelerate industrialisation across emerging economies.

From Operator to Catalyst

Heirs Energies said Igiehon’s participation is anchored in delivery. Under his leadership, the company has increased oil production from approximately 27,000 to nearly 60,000 barrels per day. Gas production has also tripled, with 100% of output directed to the domestic market to support electricity generation and industrial activity in Nigeria.

“His participation will reinforce Africa’s place not merely as a source of energy resources, but as a capable operator, investment destination and essential contributor to the future of global energy,” the company stated.

The company said it will provide updates from Gastech 2026 across its LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube platforms.

Gastech 2026 is expected to draw policymakers, financiers and operators as the industry debates how to balance energy security, affordability and sustainability amid rising global demand.

Heirs Energies Limited is an independent African energy company focused on oil and gas production, with operations in Nigeria.
