Michael Mbaji, the National Secretary of Biafra Judiciary and a member of the Supreme court judges of the Chief Ralph Uwazuruike-led Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, now called Biafra Independent Movement, BIM, has accused the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, of being a betrayer working for the Federal Government.

He made the accusation during the inauguration of Biafra Federation new judges held at the Ojukwu Memorial library, Freedom House, Owerri, Imo state capital weekend.

According to him, “Kanu collaborates with DSS to kill his Igbo brothers because of huge amount of money given to him by the Federal Government”

“BIM-MASSOB is a non violent organisation struggling to actualize a Biafran nation and we can not be involve in violent activities like IPOB”

“The mission of IPOB is to frustrate and truncate BIM-MASSOB at the detriment of tha Igbo so that its aim of actualizing a Biafran state will not be possible but we have already actualized a Biafran state”

“All the attacks by IPOB against the Federal Government is a ploy, they use DSS and many IPOB members may not know this”

Reiterating that Igbos would not go to war again, Mbaji stated that, “all these agitation groups were off-shoots of Chief Ralph Uwazuruike including  Nnamdi Kanu and we are not against their efforts to actualize a Biafran state but rather we are against using violence to do it”

On the inauguration of the new Biafran Federation judges he said that the Chief Justice, Calister Amamgbo, swore in four Supreme court judges that included, Prof. Michael Mbaji, Merry Gold, Peter Onyema who is also the Commissioner for oath and Nkechinyere Ajunwa.

Appeal court judges he added included, Akpasi Akpan who is also the President of Appeal court, Esther Orie Ogbonna, Enyinnaya Akunnaya, Innocent Odo Nwankwo and Damian Nzekwe.

In his reaction to the inauguration, one of the Appeal court judges, Damian Nzekwe, commended Chief Uwazuruike for the actualization of a Biafra  State and pledged that the new judges would work in accordance with their oath of office. Recall that the IPOB spokesman, Emma Power, had earlier dismissed the utterances of MASSOB against IPOB as that of a drowing man adding that he would not join issues with such group.
