The Chief Priest of Iyioji Nini, Igwe Onyeachonam Ovomba Udenegbaona, in Nando, Anambra East local Government Area, Anambra State, hinted Sunday that many so called Christians are idol worshippers and collect their powers from native doctors but pretend to know only one God.
He gave the hint during the annual Onwange festival of the community that heralded the abundance of food and new things that would be witnessed this year.
His words, 90 per cent of the Christians are idol worshippers who pretend to be followers of Christ when they are not. Their going to church is mere eye service, they are deceiving themselves by hiding their true identity, they come to us, native doctors for patronage and protection”
“What a sensible person should learn from this our traditional practice especially in the festival is that there is light in tradition, God is also there, because if God of light is not in the tradition, I, chief priest, Nwamadu Nwamuo, Udenegbaona, would have been greater than the whole world, but most of the chief priests are wretched but they pray for the poor and they become rich”.
“But when you go to the Christians, you find out that the money pope has, the congregation will not finish all, they don’t help people with the money, some pastors and clergymen have private jets, which they call earthly things”
“Some of the chief priests don’t have bicycle or even a better house, this is what a sensible person should learn from this event”.
” Christians that say that tradition is gradually fading don’t want to tell themselves the truth, it is now that traditional religion has become popular and effective and because of its efficacy almost all Christians have decamped from Christianity to traditional religion.”
On how to know those who have calls in the religious practice he said that, “anything that one does that fetches him money works, those people without a call succeed because the charm works in their favor. likewise a cleric without a call,.
if you have a call, you must try to follow the directives of the God that called you, but if you do not have call and you are doing it as you like, you will have money because you are not under anybody’s directives or obligation, nothing will disturb you if you derail”.
He however admitted that , “anybody that is practicing and doesn’t know that it is the lord that has the whole world doesn’t know himself, if you don’t know God, you don’t know yourself, anything in this world, God knows about it, even this incessant killings”.
Buttressing his point further, he recalled that, “when former President Goodluck Jonathan was on seat people were complaining, saying he was a woman, then God asked people if they wanted a man and they said yes and God brought President Mohammadu Buhari and they are now crying. It is the Lord that has the power, we are the instruments, nothing works without God, it is God that we kneel for.”
” I heard from our fathers that we worship God, not to worship Arusi, ,none of the Christians has power except those with a call.”
“At the time of TB Joshua, God did not perform more than him, TB Joshua was doing a lot of miracles, if he has power, he would have done a miracle in his grave.”
Igwe Onyeachonam advocated for trade by barter as it was in those days adding that money is the root cause of all the crimes being perpetrated in the country presently.
“If we start trade by bata, every church and politicians will denounce money, things will be better, killings will stop, it is ritual, secret cult an all the powers the politicians brought that are the problems that are killing us, it is backfiring, nemesis” he revealed.
