Mobile telecommunications giant, MTN has selected Oracle Cloud Applications to support digital transformations throughout all its core business operations.
This new implementation will assist MTN in driving efficiency, integration and scale operations across its regional and local services.
The Executive BOOST at MTN, Belinda O’Neil said that Oracle and MTN joined forces in 2018 to wrap-up the design of the Oracle Cloud Applications.
This year the partnership will focus on concluding the construction and deployment of the cloud applications across MTN’s markets.
Oracle said that the suite of cloud applications would help MTN reduce obsolescence and would also assist in improving its working capital through improvements in inventory management.
The implementation would boost further productivity through self-service, automation, IoT and various mobile application capabilities. Additionally, the cloud applications would enhance management visibility through all business operations for the measurement of real-time performance.
Arun Kheh, the Senior Vice President of Business Applications, ECEMEA at Oracle said that with apparent signs of economic recovery across significant African markets, MTN’s plan to undertake large scale digital transformation would be crucial in achieving strategic business objectives.
Kheh said that he is confident that the installation of the Oracle Cloud enabled digital core will assist MTN in delivering value for all its stakeholders and create the differentiation that is needed to achieve market leadership.
