The resumption of the nation’s apex legislative institution National Assembly earlier scheduled to hold on Tuesday January 26 2021 after the Christmas and New Year break has been postponed to Tuesday Feb 9, 2021.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Clerk to the National Assembly Ojo Olatunde Amos which said that the postponement is to enable All Progressives Congress APC members of the parliament participate in the ongoing registration and revalidation of membership.
It reads”THIS IS TO INFORM ALL DISTINGUISHED SENATORSÂ AND HONOURABLE MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLYÂ THAT THE RESUMPTION OF PLENARY SESSIONS EARLIER SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, 26TH JANUARY, 2021Â IS HEREBY RESCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY 9THÂ FEBRUARY, 2021.
THIS POSTPONEMENT IS TO ENABLE MEMBERS OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC) PARTY PARTICIPATE IN THE REGISTRATION AND REVALIDATION OF ITS MEMBERSHIP, SCHEDULEDÂ TO COMMENCE ON MONDAY, 25TH JANUARY, 2021.
It would b recalled that the Senate and House of Representatives the two chambers of the apex legislative institution had adjourned plenary onFriday December 18,2020 to resume on Tuesday
January 26, 2021 after the passage of the N10.8 trillion 2021 budget of the Federal Government
