Nigerian business leaders have called on entrepreneurs and professionals to embrace innovation, ethical leadership and strategic collaboration as they navigate one of the country’s most challenging business environments.
Speaking at the Transform Business Conference (TBC) 2026, Project Director Ambassador Kingsley Nwanze said the annual gathering was designed to foster the exchange of business ideas, strengthen professional networks, encourage enterprise development and promote values-driven innovation.
Held on June 12, 2026, at the Festival Hotel Conference Centre and Spa in Festac Town, Lagos, the conference was themed “Leading Against the Odds: Innovation, Integrity, and Career Advancement in Nigeria’s Business Environment.”
Nwanze said the conference was established to inspire ethical leadership, entrepreneurial resilience, strategic innovation and sustainable career advancement as Nigeria’s business landscape continues to evolve.
“This conference was designed to inspire ethical leadership, entrepreneurial resilience, strategic innovation, and sustainable career advancement within Nigeria’s evolving business landscape,” he said.
He noted that since its inaugural edition in 2025, the Transform Business Conference has grown rapidly into one of Nigeria’s emerging platforms for business and leadership discussions. According to him, the maiden edition attracted more than 2,500 participants from across the country, including business executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, professionals, creatives and emerging leaders.
“The overwhelming attendance and commendations received affirmed the conference’s credibility and relevance as a national platform for business and leadership advancement,” Nwanze said.
Also at the event, Linda Ochugbua, digital media and digital sales consultant moderated panel discussions that examined how organisations can remain competitive while maintaining ethical standards despite inflation, rising operating costs and changing consumer markets.
She said businesses facing today’s economic realities need more than aggressive marketing strategies to achieve long-term success.
“Leading in a dynamic, high-pressure economy demands more than just aggressive marketing; it requires uncompromised institutional character,” Ochugbua said.
She added that combining digital innovation with strong business ethics enables entrepreneurs to build sustainable organisations capable of creating lasting marketplace influence.
Throughout the four-hour summit, speakers explored strategies for empowering entrepreneurs with market insights, strengthening collaboration between faith-based and professional communities, encouraging cross-sector partnerships and promoting the adoption of affordable digital tools that can help businesses overcome operational challenges.
The conference attracted startup founders, established business operators, corporate professionals, church leaders and entrepreneurs seeking practical strategies for business growth, leadership development and long-term sustainability.
Organisers said the event reinforces the importance of combining innovation, corporate governance and ethical leadership to help businesses remain resilient while contributing to Nigeria’s economic development.
