The apex igbo Socio-Cultural Youth organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, (OYC), had described the benevolence nature of Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu as a rare gift for igbo nation.
The Deputy President General of the Organization Mazi Obina Achioye made the assertion in a Statement he jointly issued in abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital with the Organization Secretary General Mazi Okwu Nnabuike.
The Statement lauded the exemplary Leadership qualities of Governor Ikpeazu recalling that the Governor offsetted the hospital bill OYC Leader ncurred during a fatal accident he was involved in 2018 while on a National assignment .
The Statement added, “It was the Abia State Governor that singlehandedly footed the medical bills of Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and others for 20 months in India, this kind gesture will never be forgotten in the annals of history of Ndigbo”.
“We are equally proud of Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi, Minister of foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyama, Dame Patience Jonathan, Dr Ogbonnaya onu and Chibuike Amaechi for their support to OYC President and his family”
The statement extolled the prayers of Christian Association of Nigeria Youth wing, Nigeria Ethnic Nationalities Youth Forum led by Alhàji Yerima Shettima, Amb Sokubo Sokubo.
The Statement added that OYC will announce the Date and venue of the Thanksgiving service for Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
