The campaign coordinator of Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi in Plateau state, Nanzin Bako has accused the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as being responsible for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) misgovern in the country.
Bako said both APC and PDP has failed Nigerians as such they did not deserve another opportunity to be elected in 2023 and lead Nigeria.
The Labour Party chieftain who spoke with our correspondent in Jos on Tuesday said Nigeria is in a precarious situation as a result of leadership failure, noting that Peter Obi is the only solution to Nigerian woes.
According to the coordinator, “your case is as good as mine, but I am voting with my feet, mind, nose, eyes and ears. And from what I see from the field, all Nigerians are similarly voting in the same day, same hours. What then can we say about failure? Today in Nigeria we are daily witnesses to death and destructions, we are the daily witnesses to economic emission, we are daily witnesses to political rascality and gangsterism, impunity every where and what else can we call failure if it is not this?
“So it is a total verdict, and you see for us as Labour Party and the Peter Obi team, the PDP, APC distinction is just artificial because it is the PDP the laid the solid foundation of the misrule of APC.
“So we want Nigerians to hold both of them culpable and strike a brand new direction otherwise if we continue with the APC, PDP trajectory, in fact the road in front of us is too short. We are headed to a definite catastrophic if we do not interject as Nigerians powerfully for that matter at this moment in history.
Speaking on insinuation peddling against Peter Obi candidature that he is an ethnic bigotry, the coordinator said all narratives are political gimmicks and shenanigans as nobody can claimed having Nigeria at heart than Obi.
“The antecedents of Peter Obi speaks volume for him.
But let me tell you, there is no body that is more Nigerian in his outlook, in his thinking and even in his character than Peter Obi. Why for instance do you think the youths of Nigeria have gone crazy for this man? Why do you think for instance the professional bodies across Nigeria have gone crazy for this man? Why do think the Labour movement of Nigeria have gone crazy for this man? And all of this groups I have cited for you are pan Nigeria. Why do you think they have choosing to invest all their own capital on this man?
“So, that is political talk. Yes they want to cripple the man in one way or the other but it will not stick because the antecedents of the man speaks for him. So this is what we are seeing and this is what we want to, but we will continue to tell Nigerians the truth, and we have the duty to always tell Nigerians in such instances as pointers to the realities on ground”, he stated.
