OBIORA CHUKWU, Abuja

The former National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metu has commended the humility, Industry, dedication, hardwork, capacity and character of Dr. Ifedi Okwenna.

He said that the former Anambra state Commissioner for Environment, Mineral Resources, Science and Technology has remained one of the best commissioners that has ever served the State government since the State was created in 1991.

He also said his strong political will, innovative ideas and determination to achieve result is second to none and is what Anambra State needs now.

Chief Metu made this declaration when Dr. Okwenna led his Ifedi Okwenna Victory Mandate Team, to his country home at Nnewi, to commensurate, celebrate and rejoice with him following the reversal of his incarceration by the apex court.

Chief Metu, said Ugwumba is at home with the youths and is trusted by the elders. “You mix with the old, you mix with the young. You are completely digital, you understand the ways of this present generation”, Chief Metu asserted.

Earlier in his speech, the Ugwumba Osumenyi, lamented on the travails Chief Metu passed through, the bias judgement handed to him, to truncate his ascendancy to national prominence.

Dr. Okwenna said, he was overwhelmed by Olisa Metu’s calm demeanor and strong will throughout his trial and incarceration, thanking God that inasmuch as men will always do their wish especially when in power, God remains the ultimate judge and his is final.

Dr. Okwenna, informed Olisa Metu of his aspiration to govern Anambra State and his intention to bring back PDP back to power in Anambra State after 16 years opposition politics in the State.

He reminded Olisa Metu, that as a key leaders of the Party in Anambra State, he and his colleagues must make sure that the candidate of the Party to emerge on 26th June during the PDP primaries, is one who can win elections and not who will be another flag bearer. We have been having flag bearers since 2007, it’s time we ask ourselves, why a PDP State like Anambra can’t produce a Governor for 16years. This is a time for introspection” Dr. Okwenna asserted.
