Four persons who allegedly attacked a Lagos based human rights activist Mr. Musbua Agbodimu  and his family have been arrested by policemen attached to the State Criminals Investigation Department Panti Yaba.

Security sources gave the names of the suspects as  Apari Sikiru,

LANRE Tebatii  , Muyiwa Omo ogbaro and one Ojonbaro.

It waa, gathered that the  suspects were arrested following a  petition to the commissioner of police Lagos state  command that he came under attack with his family over his stance against the burning of the Denton police station and looting , burning of BRT buses, destruction of property by hoodlums who hijacked the endsars protest.

Mr. Agbodimu who is also a community leader at Ebute Metta  and executive officer of Lifeshield guard said over 60 armed cultists attacked his home  because he   joined other good hearted citizens  to stop the burning of  Denton police station and property of government and private individuals from being destroyed.

He  said ” Various gang members including some members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers came together, two days earlier during the protest to destroy the Denton police station but I and some community leaders pleaded with them not to burn the station. When they came back the following day, I was with other peace makers who went to beg them not to burn the station. Over 300 gang members from different cult groups came together to burn the station. While we were there still pleading, the Area commander Area C came to appeal to them but they were adamant and bent on destroying the station. I left the station thinking that they will yield to the Area commander. I left them to attend to issues in my house .However,  from my house, I  started hearing gun shots and I ran back to the station. The gang members were busy engaging the police in a shoot out. When they found out that they would not succeed in their plans to burn the station, they made their way to the BRT terminal in Oyingbo area and set the buses over 60 of them ablazed. The gangs  also made into personal and private property where they destroyed banks and ATMs machines and other property”.

Narrating how he was attacked, he said “They destroyed all

the properties in both buildings in my house including my school ,a local nursery and primary school building own by me

both located at No2 Dawodu lane, Otto-Ilogbo extension, Ebute-Metta West, Lagos. They  manhandled and caused bodily and emotional harm to my wife and children who were at home at the time they attacked both buildings.

There is an ongoing arrangement by these gang  to kill me in their perceived retaliation for my peacemaker role in their botched attack and attempt to burn down the Denton Police Station on 21th day of October 2020 . I tried severally to dissuade them from attacking the Denton Police Station and the officers and after their failed attempts to overrun the police officers at the

police station and probably loot and burn the place. They turned their attention to the BRT bus terminal

at the Oyingbo bus stop, banks, public and privates businesses owners and while burning the place and the buses therein also looted the terminal

warehouse carting away valuables including tires and other valuable items. The story making the round is that I sided with the police as such I have been labelled a traitor and must be gotten out of the way. They have continued to move around talking about their above criminal achievements and preparing to unleash more harm on the community. My family and relatives in the community continue to live in perpetual fear of their next attack. I am afraid the devastation they have caused might just be a tip of

the iceberg. My family and  I have since gone into hiding over fear of attack”
