Presidential Polls…Obi wins 9 LGAs so far declared in Ebonyi State.

.while Hon Igariwey re-elected for Afikpo North/South Federal Constituency
The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP) Mr Peter Obi, has won in Nine Local Government Areas so far declared in Ebonyi State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC.
Announcing the results at the INEC Headquarters Abakaliki, the various Collation Officers declared Mr Obi winner in their various Local Government Areas.
The Local Governments whose results were declared include Afikpo North, Afikpo South, Ishielu, Ikwo, Ezza North, Ezza South, Izzi, Ebonyi and  Abakaliki respectively.
In a related development, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared Chief Iduma Igariwey of the Peoples Democratic Party /PDP  winner of the National Assembly election, for Afikpo North and South Federal Constituency.
Chief Igariwey polled a total of  24,649 votes, to defeat his closest rival Hon Eni Uduma Chima of the All Progressive Congress (APC)who garnered 11,290 votes.
Declaring the result at Afikpo North Local Government Atra, the INEC Returning Officer Mr Charles Okolie, announced that the total number of registered voters in the Constituency was 199, 872, while Accredited voters stood at 47,245 .
Also Mr Nkemkanma Kama, of the Labour Party (LP), has been declared  winner of  Onicha, Ohaozara and Ivo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
