TotalEnergies projects N192bn revenue for Q2

TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc has projected a revenue of N191.61bn for the second quarter of 2025, according to its forecast of the statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income recently filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

The company anticipates a gross profit of N25.7bn for the period spanning April to June 2025, after accounting for a cost of sales of N165.9bn. It also projects an operating profit of N7.8 bn, after deducting selling and distribution costs of N4.4bn and administrative expenses of N15.6bn.

According to the notice, TotalEnergies expects to record a net finance cost of N5.6bn, driven by a finance income of N854.4m and finance costs amounting to N6.5bn. This will leave the company with a profit before tax of N2.1bn. After accounting for an income tax expense of N725.5m, the firm expects a net profit of N1.4bn for the period under review.

In its projected cash flow statement, the energy giant estimates a net cash inflow of N18.3bn from operating activities, following cash receipts of N172.4bn from customers and cash payments of N149.3bn to suppliers and employees. However, after factoring in income tax payments of N4.8bn, the net cash provided by operations will stand at N18.3bn.

TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria also plans capital expenditures of N2.1bn of fixed assets during the quarter. Meanwhile, its financing activities will see a cash outflow of N27.3bn, driven by borrowing repayment of N17.6bn, interest payments of N6.5bn, and dividend payments of N3.2bn.

Overall, the company expects cash and cash equivalents at March 31 of N10.3bn, bringing its cash and cash equivalents to a projected deficit of N145.8bn as of June 30, 2025, compared to the N135.5bn deficit recorded at the end of March.

The PUNCH reported that TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc has projected a profit of N2.41bn for the first quarter of 2025.
