Katsina 2023:  Radda proposes blueprint to enhance MSMEs

As part of measures to improve the fortunes of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Katsina State, the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has proposed a new blueprint that will create direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.
Presenting the policy document to the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, during a visit to the monarch to solicit royal blessing while on campaign tour of Katsina Central Senatorial Zone, Dr. Radda said if the blueprint is  implemented, the state will solve not only her employment problem but also improve the living standards in the society.
Under the policy document, if elected, Dr. Radda will inject funds into the microfinance banks in the state to give interest free loans to MSMEs  and establish ministry for the MSMEs.
This, the APC gubernatorial hopeful said, will among others serve as an intervention to inadequate capital of MSMEs, which has been militating against socio – economic development in the state.
He also stated that his administration, if given the mandate, would attach importance to all sectors, owing to their potentials as drivers of societal growth and development.
In his remarks, the Katsina Emir, expressed support for Dr. Radda to pilot new multifaceted programmes that would among other things  ensure a vibrant MSMEs and boost the economy, while praying for peace, progress and security in the state.
